Save Articles like a Pro using this app.

Internet is a storehouse of knowledge and information. But in the same time it is distracting and we may stray away from the main purpose when we browse through articles. Pocket is an app which allows you to save internet articles and discover quality content on the Web. When you come across an interesting article and need to read it later, you can save it into Pocket. It has a good interface and will sync across all the platforms like phone, PC, tablet etc.

You can avoid the trouble of bookmarking and the hassle in finding the bookmarked page. There are Pocket publishing widgets enabled in various sites where one can save them instantly.

The reading experience in Pocket app is simply awesome because it is free from distractions and the ability to get personalised recommendations while going through your recent saves. You can arrange your saves within multiple tags of choice.

Pocket was started as a Mozilla Firefox extension created by Nate Weiner later the publisher was renamed as Read it Later. Even though, Pocket is a Editor's Pick (4.5) in the Google Play Store, it has its own weaknesses. Finding diverse articles is a bit difficult in Pocket. Either you have to follow others or find the best articles and recommend to others.

The app is free to download from Play Store, but the premium version allows you to keep a permanent library of all your saved articles and you will be able to access them even if the original page changes. There are other 'read later' apps in the Web like Instapaper, the Save article feature in Facebook etc. But Pocket has a permanent copy mode, Smart tagging, convert text to speech and even full text search.

If your app or browser doesn't support Pocket, send the link to the e-mail add@getpocket.com and during the first time you will be asked to confirm mail address. Soon you will able to save articles via e-mail too.

There are a lot of elegant themes provided to customise Pocket app.

Instapaper is considered best for reading articles whereas Pocket is considered to be the best bookmarking app for multimedia.
